Networking Infrastructure Analyst - Windows 2008/2012, CISCO

Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic ICT team. As part of this Innovative Public Sector, IT Service Division you will provide 2/3rd Line to all business users across many different departments and teams. This role calls for a positive and customer-related approach. This is a genuine opportunity to make a difference to the level of customer service within the ICT Infrastructure team.

Experience Required:

You will have proven IT experience with significant IT infrastructure responsibilities. Implementing, managing and supporting a Windows 2008/2012 environment. Implementing, managing and supporting a Cisco networking environment. In-depth technical competence in IP Networks and network management, Windows Desktop/Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, VMware virtualisation environment, Cisco Routers, Firewalls, and Switches. You will have technical competence in SQL, Citrix, Anti-Virus Technologies, Internet/Web technologies, and the Veeam Backup application. Linux, Juniper network devices and Storage Area Networks (especially HP 3Par). You will be willing to undertake systems administration work and be prepared to work flexible hours to provide team cover if required.

Sector experience is not that important as your positive and motivated personality coupled with solid ICT skills outweighs this, but if you have worked within the public sector and or understand a local government that could be helpful.

You will have the ability to plan your own work, be an effective and cooperative team player be able to organise resources and meet deadlines. Be versed in building effective working relationships. Enjoy presenting technical solutions in an understandable way to a non-technical audience when required.

You will be educated to A level or have a degree, preferably in ICT and obtained the following technical qualifications:

  • Microsoft certificated training programme accreditation MCSE (or equivalent)
  • Microsoft MCP and Cisco CCNA.
  • Cisco certified training programme accreditation CCNP.
