Uses Client's new hire database + Jira ticket request volume + Asset fleet age + Asset Management system's on hand asset details to determine ordering quantities. Create purchase requisitions. Track orders and shipments.
Reviews analysis of IT assets & accessories consumption rate, min/max levels and places orders in collaboration with Client IT Eng Supply Chain leadership.
Stays connected to Client suppliers, obtains quotes from suppliers or uses punch-out catalogues if they exist for certain suppliers; to ensure correct pricing and correct SKU's are being ordered before submitting purchase requisitions.
Obtain and provide tracking details to recipients so that they know what is in transit to be received from supplier to site.
Facilitates RMAs in the event excessive, incorrect, or damaged goods are received.
Stays in sync with service desk technicians or POCs of their site locations to assist and ensure that the physically received equipment is also created virtually in the asset management system and matches against the PO that was used to order the asset(s).
Monitor shipping vendor response SLA's and escalate to vendors and ITE Supply Chain leadership if vendor is outside of their documented SLA window.
Escalates any inventory shortages to ITE Supply Chain leadership.
Works with site tech/POC's to facilitate material returns to supplier and supports resolution of supplier invoice holds.
Manages IT Supply Chain ticket processes from start to finish.
Receiving assets is the entry point or origin for all assets and accessories at Client. The receiving function obtains or provides proof of receipt of assets by entering them accurately into the asset management system with reference to the PO number, Asset Tag, Serial Number, Make, and Model.
Track the movement and storage of assets virtually using the asset management system at all times.
Shipping assets will be necessary when a site in need of assets can and should request assets sitting excessively at a different site. Oversight of shipment tracking will be required to ensure delivery is complete and asset management system is updated accordingly.
Transferring assets should be secured for transport, quantities are accurate and recipient details are present and asset management reflects in transit status of inventory vs on hand. Once this inventory lands at the destination location, then the status should change in the asset management system to on hand at that location.
Provisioning/Pre-Provisioning - Assets and Mobility
Responsible for provisioning, troubleshooting, assigning, configuring, and deploying of laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile phones with Client created images.
Must ensure that assets are utilizing company standard security measures such as DEP, MDM, and Encryption.
Manage/oversee the distribution of IT Assets and Accessories to End Users, Service Desks, and Existing and New Offices locations.
- Gather future hire information using new hire database, user onboarding tickets, and internal tools to provision laptops
- Basic knowledge to troubleshoot network, certificate, and profile issues when provisioning tool fails; familiar with terminal commands
Replenishes and manages accessories provided in vending machines and or service desk storage located in offices and workspaces globally. Responsible for maintaining adequate levels of accessories, updating the Asset Management System accordingly and monitoring changes in consumption. Required to alert the Procurement function when shortages are identified.
Responsible for audits and performance improvement in inventory management. Conduct monthly surveillance audits (inventory counting, sheet to floor, floor to sheet) and drive root cause analysis on inventory audit errors. Determine inconsistency in inventory errors within people, process or technology.
Assist ITE Supply Chain Leadership in program development of ongoing cycle count regimen, correcting systemic problems in inventory management and managing support with Client IT Eng Supply Chain Leadership who will ensure corrective measures are in place for supporting internal audit requirements.
Through variance analysis data from cycle count efforts, categorize variances to identify and track root cause. Following this should be the delivery of correction plan(s) as required.
Reverse Logistics - Return/Legal Hold Upload/Data Erase
Identify devices that should come back from termination collection, loaner returns, damaged, or upgrade returns. Collaborates with techs on collection processes.
Identifies non-collected assets and puts them through the lost and stolen process for data locking/protection.
Assists in routing all hardware returns to the correct station for next steps. Oversees break fix and refurbishment. Assists with processing of all returned hardware via repair, donation and/or e-waste processes while ensuring all assets are properly updated within the Asset Management System.
Receives and holds legal hold machines for further instructions from E-Discovery team
Triages returned reusable hardware for redeployment.
- Check asset age, wipe computer, reinstall latest OS, physically clean and remove stickers, ready for redeployment.
- Troubleshoot, wipe, schedule repairs, and update the asset management system for mobile phones
- Unlock and restore activation locked mobile devices using MDM tools
Wireless Mobility - Provisioning/Pre-Provisioning - Assets and Mobility
- Ensure mobile devices are managed using MDM or Knox.
- Request service accounts and passwords if necessary.
- Link and track assets by assigning/installing/loaning using the asset management system.
- Activate carrier SIM cards using one of three preferred carriers and create trackable asset.
