Network resource to provide Network, Firewall and IP telephony Operations for Customers network in Geneva (WIPO, ITU, WMO) and remote locations, and to shared infrastructure.
The resource(s) should have:
Seven or more years' experience working for IT service provider organization, in a complex multi-tenancy environment
Seven or more years' hands-on experience managing and configuring Cisco Routers and Switches
Five or more years' hands-on experience administering Checkpoint and Cisco ASA Firewalls
Three or more years' hands-on experience administering Cisco Unified Communications environment (Call Manager, Unity, CME/SRST, Jabber)
Cisco CCNP routing and switching certification
Desired Checkpoint CCSA and CCSE certifications
Desired Cisco CCNA Collaboration or higher certification
Excellent English verbal and written
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbally and in writing.
Education at least to Bachelor's degree level.
DESCRIPTION OF the work
Provide operational support and resolve user requests, incidents and technical problems.
Interface with customers technical focal points and collaborate to resolve customer requests or incidents, to listen and assess customer new requirements and identify new opportunities
Work on the service requests to implement Firewall changes and network security related activities such as access-lists and VPN settings changes
Review switch, Router and Firewall logs for security violations and other network threats and take necessary action upon advice from security experts or other systems administrators
Monitor network and Firewall usage, review the network devices logs, evaluate the performance of the network and perform corrective or improvement actions when necessary
Implement security fixes and solutions required to enhance the security of the supported infrastructure
Assist the unit team members to carry out approved projects
Prepare documentation where needed
Provide telephone stand-by support during weekends, holidays and outside normal working hours on a scheduled rotation basis together with the other Unit members.
