Role: Business Analyst/Test specialist


A minimum of seven years of demonstrated experience and successful performance in Business
analysis for IT software application development projects.
IT system requirements and Testing
Business process and data workflow analysis.
Conducting user interviews and feedback sessions.
Participation in IT solution design process.
Optimization of online user journeys.

Technical Skills:

Formal training in recognized business analysis techniques, reinforced with appropriate work
Formal training and extensive experience using the proven frameworks such as SCRUM software
development framework (ideally including SCRUM master or product owner certification or
Experience in performing the role of a business analyst in IT software application development
Expert knowledge and experience in using tools to document processes and workflows, such as Use
Case Diagrams, Data and Process Flow Diagrams etc.
Expert knowledge in measuring and tracking delivery of systems as fit for purpose and in
accordance with agreed requirements (KPIs, quality measurements & control points)
Expert knowledge and experience in using tools to model test cases.
Confident communicator and team player, with advanced/proficient level written and verbal
English communication skills


The Business Analyst/Test Specialist will form part of the project office delivery team and provides
the required expertise to define and document clear and unambiguous business requirements and
test cases that will be used to build the different components of the WIPO IP Portal, using an
interactive/agile approach towards software development.
Analyze and document business processes in relation to the WIPO registration and fee paying
systems and other outward facing applications in consultation with system users and internal
Identify and propose business process related improvements and optimizations taking into account
the shift from isolated application development and operations to a more converged customer
experience and integrated platform for the portfolio of applications relevant to the WIPO IP Portal
Develop and document clear and unambiguous business requirements, functional specifications,
use case diagrams, data and process flow diagrams etc
Take on an active role within project delivery teams that build the components of the WIPO IP
Portal based on an iterative/agile approach towards software development. Work in close
collaboration with business users and system developers to ensure that user requirements are well
understood, defined, communicated and implemented within the final product
Assist the project team to define and implement suitable tools and techniques to ensure rapid
delivery of the required software components. Perform other tasks as required.
