Learning & Development Specialist (Supply Chain)

Are you a Learning & Development Specialist with at least 5 years of experience in complex Program/Project management, or extensive experience in Learning & Development roles in complex international organisations? Experis IT Switzerland is currently on the search for Learning & Development Specialist (Supply Chain) to join one of their clients, an NGO, based in Geneva.

Your role:

The Learning and Development Specialist will form an integral part of a big change program (Supply Chain & Procurement). You will project manage the activity plan and budget line for each element within the capacity building program. Leverage own knowledge and experience, and where required, input from external specialists in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program development & program management
  • Support Capacity building transformation projects that involve the people element in selected countries
  • Support the design of capacity strengthening activities and mobilization of Technical Assistance on the ground together with country teams
  • Program progress updates and monitoring for programs already running in several African and Asian countries
  • Establishing, developing and implementing supply chain training for "in-country" top talent, managed via several partners on the ground
  • Establishing, developing and implementing Transformation Learning Programs focus on supply chain improvements managed by ASCM (former APICS) in several African countries
  • Support the implementation and roll out of an already identified supply chain leadership program in collaboration with partners to support development of key roles/positions within the public sector health care supply chains
  • Evolve and implement an organizational design module as part of each transformation program (EDIS model)

To deliver the required results, it's essential that you are/have:

  • Degree in Human Resources and/or investment management and/or Supply Chain (incl Procurement) and/or experience in Learning and Development roles
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in complex Program/Project management, or extensive experience in Learning & Development roles in complex international organisations
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing successful programs in organizational design, skills and capability
  • Strong analytical experience in business or supply chain and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and in writing (PPT, Word, Exel)
  • Budget management experience and experience with internal procurement and legal processes in a big organization (UN or corporate)
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and maintain momentum
  • Knowledge of working with stakeholders and networks in developing countries, especially Africa.
  • Fluent in English and French
