IT Computer Operator - Incident Manager

Annual Salary

To monitor and control Production and Acceptance applications, assess and escalate incidents, follow up of incidents, liaise and coordinate with technical experts and users, participate in project phases linked with Production Monitoring activities


  • Review and implement changes
  • Identify and log batch failures as and when they occur
  • Escalate or resolve tickets for batch failures as required
  • System housekeeping, shutdown and start in accordance with defined procedures and SLAs
  • Monitoring and incident management adhering to strict SLAs

Essential Skills

The successful candidates must have:

  • First line support experience, preferably in a large corporation
  • MVS, CICS, DB2, CA7,
  • In depth understanding of batch scheduling tools (preferably CA7 or Control-M)
  • Strong Mainframe (MVS) and/or Unix and Windows experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely especially when under pressure
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience of using service management/incident management solutions (ideally ServiceNow)
  • Confidence to work independently and within a fast-paced team in a busy environment
  • Ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules


  • London/Paris
  • Working a 24/7 x 365 shift system
  • Shift pattern, 9 days on, 9 days off to average 35 hours a week over a year
