Your new role
In your new role as a Assurance Control Tester, you will be apart of the assurance team providing robust first line independent assurance testing across Technology through assurance reviews of key controls. Issues identified are documented in a report that is issued to the relevant business area and all assurance outputs recorded in the organisations risk management system. The Assurance team delivers assurance to SMT members and their management teams in relation to the overall effectiveness of the control environment for their Business Units. This role will require you to be a motivated self-starter, with an ability to work in a skilled team and interact with all levels of staff throughout organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in your new role as a Assurance Control Tester, you will be confident in carrying out testing activity to agreed methodology and standards. Execute control testing activities based on the agreed test steps to ensure that the control within the business unit is operating effectively. Identify instances of non-adherence to policy and procedures through testing activities and notify team leader of all exceptions. Document and report all exceptions and test failures in line with agreed methodology. You will ideally have 1-2 years' experience in a Controls, Audit or Risk setting and preferably within Financial Services.
