My client, a leading financial services company based in London, are transforming the options for process improvement with plans for a Global Automation CoE. Significant focus will include RPA As-A-Service. The UiPath Robotic Process Automation/UiPath RPA Technical Lead, will develop and lead the companies RPA service offering as part of the EMEA Automation CoE.

The RPA Technical Lead will be hands-on and responsible for all RPA proposals across various business units, although initially focusing on a single business unit. This comprises advising automation analysts in digital process design as well as implementing process automation, specifically UiPath and Blue Prism.

Core areas you will need to have for the UiPath Robotic Process Automation/UiPath RPA Technical Lead, are:

  • You are an advanced administrator on the Orchestrator.

  • You can build attended and unattended Bots.

  • You have hired and managed a team of RPA developers demonstrating best practice advice.

Responsibilities for the UiPath Robotic Process Automation/UiPath RPA Technical Lead, position:

  • Leading the team of RPA developers (initially developers from the Business), ensuring relevant development guidance in RPA is provided. Ensure the team operate in line with best practice principles.

  • Formalise an approach to evaluate candidate processes for suitability to be automated by RPA bearing in mind alternative automation options should also be considered.

  • Establishing governance processes and a code of conduct for the developers.

  • Development of RPA methodology and Service Delivery/Service Readiness documentation.

  • Accountable for all integration, system and acceptance testing through to Go Live/Warranty period and then into BAU Support (advice on creating the BAU support model would be valued).

  • Advise cost estimation for solutions that support a new business case.

  • Demonstratable experience of working with senior stakeholders not versed in technology speak to understand requirements, including status reporting, issues escalation and risk management.

  • Participate with RPA internal and external communication and communities.

  • Support the EMEA Automation CoE Lead with resource management planning against RPA pipeline and budget.

Skills/Background required for the UiPath Robotic Process Automation/UiPath RPA Technical Lead, position:

  • Ideally at least 10 years of experience in Technology roles that support your ability to apply for this position although any excellent and recent valid exposure would be considered.

  • Able to explain clearly all components (bot type and license options) associated with UiPath and Blue Prism Bots.

  • Relevant and demonstrable experience developing RPA solutions in UiPath and ideally Blue Prism as well.

  • Strong Citrix exposure aligned to RPA.

  • You will have strong hands-on knowledge of RPA (UiPath and/or Blue Prism preferred) in a large-scale environment.

  • Strong documentation skills and an appreciation for good documentation associated with all new solutions developed. Attention to detail in report writing is extremely important.

  • Programming experience in Python, C# or VB.NET or alternate languages that support today s requirements for Automation.
