Account Developer/Junior Account Manager - London - B2B IT Sales

The role of the Junior Account Manager/Account Developer is to provide support to the Business Development team (BD), to develop account plans, identify and secure meetings with target client contacts and to help progress and manage activities across the end-to-end sales and opportunity life cycle.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to securing sales pitch meetings with target clients including all preparation activities to help drive successful outcomes and contacting clients directly by e-mail and/or by phone to secure the actual pitch meeting itself
  • Provide follow-up support for all sales pitch meetings including the production of sales meetings notes, sending client credentials as required and helping to qualify potential sales opportunities
  • Support the BD team in producing quality proposals to win new client business as a result of prospecting activities and/or formal Requests For Proposals
  • Support the creation and upkeep of client Account Plans, including the development of client contact plans covering all target individuals within a client Account
  • Regularly develop and look out for insights on target client accounts to help with general prospecting activities and drawing on multiple sources including research, social media, Wavestone consultants working at existing client accounts, mutual LinkedIn contacts etc
  • Ensure that the appropriate documentation is in place for Won sales opportunities including engagement forms, Statement of Works, Purchase Orders etc
  • Help to develop a detailed understanding of the Procurement and Sourcing function for all target clients including Procurement/Sourcing contacts, organisation structure and processes
  • Input and update the Sales CRM system: Salesforce to ensure that all client company, contact and opportunity information is accurate and kept regularly up to date

Skills and experienced required:

  • Must have at least 1-3 years account development and/or account management experience - B2B Sales
  • Must have an interest in IT Management Consultancy and IT/Technology sales
  • Results oriented with high commitment, tenacity, resilience and a positive attitude
  • A successful degree-level academic background
  • Ability to drive and maintain momentum throughout the sales life cycle
  • Ability to forge relationships of trust with clients to ensure the best possible positioning for Wavestone
  • Have efficient and consistent client prospecting skills
  • Customer-focused mentality to understand and appropriately respond to customers business needs
  • Strong appreciation and an ability to drive and maintain momentum throughout the sales life cycle
