We now have an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Group IT function. This role can be based from Taunton or Exeter.
The Business Analyst's role is to elicit, analyse, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers, sponsor or end users. This involves interviewing stakeholders and compiling user requirements to understand their needs in terms of the business problems they face.
You'll work with technical solutions designers and architects to devise technology solutions to resolve business problems and be proactive in identifying innovations that maximise the benefit of IT investment. You will also work with Change Teams in support of optimising business processes; so that a complete solution can be implemented.
The Business Analyst will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help the business and IT teams make good technology and process design or improvement decisions; and you will play a pivotal role in ensuring IT's understanding of business requirements across the entire Pennon Group.

*Educated to degree level standard or able to demonstrate working to degree level*Extensive Business Analyst experience*Extensive and broad-based IT and business experience, conducting business analysis services in a medium to large organisation*Demonstrable experience building relationships with and influencing stakeholders*Demonstrable experience of best practice tools and methodologies for business requirements capture and process analysis*Ability to exercise initiative, think innovatively, use problem-solving skills and make well-judged recommendations*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to influence change without direct authority through collaboration, diplomacy and persuasiveness*Adept at presenting complex information in straight forward terms to a range of audiences*Full UK Driving Licence is essential
