We now have an excellent opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our Group IT function. This role can be based from Taunton or Exeter.
The Programme Manager will lead large and medium scale programmes of IT delivery, as major capital investment in support of business planning and organisational change. Programmes will consist of multiple projects which may or may not be inter-dependent. The Programme Manager will take full accountability for planning, structuring, leading and executing a programme which is likely to be of high risk and complexity.
You'll lead the delivery of the applications and software-related elements of capital and operational IT programmes through effective management of internal and external resources; and assist in the formulation of cost-effective technology delivery strategies, and their subsequent evaluation, implementation, management and support.
The Programme Manager will guide, support and mentor Project Managers delivering projects within the programme; identifying and managing programme risks and issues effecting successful resolution to projects.

*Educated to degree level standard or able to demonstrate working to degree level*PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner qualifications*Extensive IT Project Management and programme management experience*Demonstrable experience of leading and mentoring IT Project Managers*Demonstrable experience of establishing, promoting and delivering programmes and projects according to best practice IT governance principles*Extensive and broad-based IT and business experience, delivering diverse IT projects and programmes in a medium to large organisation*Ability to exercise initiative, think innovatively, use problem-solving skills and make well-judged recommendations*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to influence change without direct authority through collaboration, diplomacy and persuasiveness*Adept at presenting complex information in straight forward terms to a range of audiences*Ability to quickly understand the business context and establish solid relationships with business stakeholders*Full UK Driving Licence is essential
