Production Operative -Water Industry

Salary: Available upon request

Hours: 40 hours per week plus weekends and bank holiday

Based: Hampton Loade treatment works, Bridgnorth.

Working within an organisation recognised throughout the industry for its outstanding customer service and high quality standards, you will work in close liaison with a range of internal and external contacts working closely with a Production Coordinator scheduling resource requirements on a daily basis.

This varied role involves work both indoors and outdoors, with responsibility for the operation and maintenance of booster and source pumping stations, water treatment works and water tanks.

As part of the role you will be responsible for maintaining good housekeeping standards and involved in such tasks as tank cleaning, receiving chemical deliveries, grass cutting and general grounds maintenance. You will also be carrying out herbicide and pesticide spraying whilst ensuring that all equipment associated with tasks is used in line with Company H&S Policy.

You will be required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders including members of the public and customers. You will be part of a small team working in a rotating weekend working pattern including some bank holidays.

You will possess basic engineering skills and some knowledge of grounds maintenance, however training will be provided. As part of the role you will be required to undertake relevant training courses associated with the role and aspiring to achieve NVQ level 2 Water Process Operations.

You must be IT literate to beginner's level and it's essential that you hold a valid UK driving licence as this role will require travel throughout the West Midlands region.
