Cloud Architect Contract - Paying up to £750 Per Day, Inside IR35, Based in South Wales, Hybrid Working, To Start ASAP

Your new role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable cloud solutions within a large-scale digital transformation programme.
You'll be responsible for shaping cloud strategy, driving modernisation initiatives, and leading a team of cloud engineers to deliver resilient, cost-effective, and innovative cloud services. Working closely with stakeholders, you'll ensure cloud platforms support organisational objectives while maintaining the highest standards of security, governance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cloud architecture strategy, design, and delivery
• Drive cloud migration and transformation programmes
• Manage and mentor a team of cloud engineers
• Champion cloud security, governance, and best practice
• Deliver automation, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native solutions
• Optimise cloud performance, resilience, and cost efficiency
• Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a Cloud Architecture role
• Proven leadership experience managing, developing, and mentoring cloud engineering teams
• Strong expertise in Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience within large, complex, regulated environments
• Cloud migration, hybrid cloud, and Infrastructure as Code experience
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
