We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer to join a major data transformation programme, helping to modernise enterprise data platforms and build scalable cloud-based data solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile project involving the migration of Legacy data platforms into Snowflake, collaborating with data engineers, architects and data scientists to deliver robust, high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and optimise data models within Snowflake.
  • Develop efficient SQL, PL/SQL and Python solutions to support business requirements.
  • Build and enhance scalable data pipelines migrating data from Legacy platforms into Snowflake.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality data objects and data models.
  • Integrate machine learning models into the Snowflake platform in collaboration with data science teams.
  • Utilise Snowflake REST APIs to support automation and platform integration.
  • Ensure data quality, performance optimisation and best practice across the data platform.
  • Work closely with technical and business stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.

Required Experience

  • 8-10 years' experience in data engineering, data modelling or data warehousing.
  • Extensive commercial experience developing within Snowflake.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills.
  • Solid Python development experience.
  • Proven experience designing and building enterprise data warehouses.
  • Experience migrating data from Legacy systems into Snowflake.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and database optimisation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience integrating machine learning models into Snowflake.
  • Exposure to Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Informatica ETL and/or Talend ETL experience.
  • Experience working with Snowflake APIs such as Account API, Alert API, Database API, Dynamic Table API, Event Table API, Iceberg Table API, Notebook API, Cortex Inference API or Catalog Integration API.
