About the Role
We are looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Wokingham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider staff team to provide high-quality support both in and out of the classroom. Support the delivery of literacy, numeracy and phonics interventions where required.
Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence in their learning.
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
Assist in maintaining an organised, safe and stimulating classroom environment.
Supervise pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes, educational visits and other school activities as required.
Promote positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers.
Uphold the school's safeguarding procedures and contribute to the wellbeing and welfare of all pupils.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Experience working with children within a primary school, nursery or educational setting.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach when supporting pupils.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Confidence supporting children across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
A flexible, proactive and adaptable attitude.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience supporting children with SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Knowledge of phonics programmes and intervention strategies.
Experience delivering targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
Paediatric or Emergency First Aid qualification (desirable but not essential).
