We are currently recruiting on behalf of a successful and innovative business for a Warehouse Operative to join their team.
Our client specialises in providing sustainable, reusable site hoarding solutions to the construction sector, offering a complete service including design, logistics and installation. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to support their warehouse and yard operations.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring materials are safely received, stored and dispatched efficiently.
The role will involve loading and unloading deliveries, operating a forklift truck, preparing customer orders and supporting the wider operation during busy periods.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a practical environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, organisation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
Operating a forklift truck to move materials around the site.
Checking delivery paperwork and ensuring accuracy of goods received and dispatched.
Picking and preparing products for internal and external orders.
Maintaining an organised warehouse and yard environment.
Supporting other departments when required, including painting and picking teams.
Following all health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous forklift truck operating experience.
Valid FLT training/certification.
Experience working within a warehouse, yard, manufacturing or similar environment.
Good attention to detail and the ability to follow processes.
A strong work ethic and reliable approach.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
