Male SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | North London
Are you a compassionate, resilient and academically capable individual looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with Autism?
We are recruiting a Male SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive specialist school in East Finchley.
Why are we looking for a male Teaching Assistant?This role requires supporting male pupils with personal care, including toileting, changing and promoting independence with intimate care where required. To preserve the dignity and privacy of the pupils, we are specifically seeking a male member of staff for this position.
The roleThis is a varied and rewarding opportunity where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with teachers and therapists to help pupils achieve both academically and personally.
We're looking for someone who:
Has an academic background and is confident supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and other curriculum subjects.
Is patient, calm and resilient.
Can build positive, trusting relationships with young people with additional needs.
Is comfortable providing personal care when required.
Has a genuine passion for helping pupils reach their full potential.Experience in SEN is welcomed but not essential if you have the right attitude, transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
