Description:

The Software Engineer has the skills to develop large and/or complex programs, incl. design, coding and testing.

As part of test responsibilities, the Software Engineer defines and creates test cases, executes test activities and reports on progress.

About the project:

As part of a multi-year Risk IT system test initiative, our team is supporting the development and validation of our clients central risk management platform. The platform is used for margin calculation, risk monitoring, stress testing, and collateral-related processes for clearing members.

We are looking for a motivated Software Tester to join our IT hub in Prague and contribute to functional and technical testing of a complex risk management system.

The position is based on a hybrid working model. You will work with a combination of in-house, open-source, and commercial software.

The system's demanding requirements around complex functionality, reliability, availability, latency, throughput, scalability, and operability will provide a strong technical challenge and opportunities for continuous learning and improvement.

Mandatory skills and experiences:

• At least two years of commercial experience in software testing
• Experience with Back End application testing and test automation
• Practical knowledge of Python and SQL
• Experience working with Linux and command-line tools
• Experience with Git/GitHub and Jira
• Basic knowledge of financial markets, such as bonds, equities, futures, or options
• Experience with cloud technologies, especially Google Cloud Platform
• Good written and spoken English communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to understand technical topics and investigate issues in complex systems

• Start date of assignment: ASAP
• Initial contract duration: 31.12.2026
• Degree of employment: Full-time
• Location: Prague (50 % remote)
