An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join one of the UK's largest manufacturers within the building materials sector.
Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you'll be responsible for ensuring plant reliability through planned maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role
You'll maintain a wide range of heavy manufacturing equipment, helping to maximise production efficiency while working within a safety-first culture.
Responsibilities
✔ Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
✔ Fault diagnosis and repair of production equipment
✔ Root cause analysis and continuous improvement
✔ Support plant shutdowns and engineering projects
✔ Work closely with operations to minimise downtime
✔ Ensure all maintenance activities meet site safety standards
About You
* Mechanical Engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
* Experience within manufacturing, quarrying or heavy industrial environments
* Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment
* Excellent fault-finding skills
* A proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset
