The Role

Due to the continued growth our client is seeking to appoint an experienced, results-driven Equity Release Sales Development Manager.

Please note this role is a hybrid supervisory / sales role. It is envisaged that initially you will spend 50% of your time supervising and developing your team and 50% completing personal sales from appointments made for you by the company.

Therefore, the role will attract two elements of bonus, one from your team’s performance the other from your own personal sales. Both will be explained in detail during the recruitment process.

Development & Supervisory Tasks

* Conduct call listening and case audits to identify process inefficiencies, knowledge gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

* Analyse meeting-to-conversion ratios, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance in line with client needs and budgets.

* Deliver structured training and ongoing feedback to both new and existing team members.

* Provide support on complex cases to drive increased lead conversion.

* Ensure all advice adheres to regulatory compliance standards and aligns with the "first-time right" ethos.

* Contribute to the company’s growth strategy by supporting and developing business expansion plans.

* Provide management with insightful data analysis to drive informed decision-making across key operational areas.

* Support the induction and post course development of new advisers, providing bespoke support for them maximise each sales opportunity.

* Working with the existing management team, some flexibility will be required within the role to fit around recruitment, training and holiday cover of colleagues.

Sales Tasks

* Working from the same lead sources as your team you will have on average between 5 & 8 appointments made for you each week (This may vary depending on the needs of the business with respect to your supervisory duties)

* You would be expected to convert a minimum of 40% of these leads into sales, (existing advisers vary from 33 to 65%) and will be rewarded with commissions of 10% from company generated appointments and 20% from your own self-generated ones.

Candidate Profile

* Qualifications: CeRER certified.

* Industry Experience:

Extensive experience in whole-of-market equity release (ER), with proficiency in

one or more sourcing systems.

Demonstrable track record in supervising and performance managing self employed

advisers.

* Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of FCA regulations, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), Mortgage Conduct of Business (MCOB) rules (including MMR changes), and Consumer Duty principles.

* Leadership & Management:

Demonstrable evidence within a leadership role, driving growth and development of

individuals and teams.

Experience in remote management and leadership (minimum two years).

Proven ability to lead by example and set best practices in sales and compliance.

* Training & Mentorship:

Strong track record of delivering training, support, and mentoring in both virtual and

face-to-face environments.

Ideally you will have experience in taking candidates post induction course through to

CAS status
