Laundry General Manager

LAUNDRY GENERAL MANAGER ROLE

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on General Manager to take full responsibility for running our industrial laundry facility on the hospital site in Eastbourne. Salisbury Linen Services is a healthcare wash and return laundry provider delivering services to multiple locations across the south.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage the day-to-day operations of the laundry facility

* Oversee production workflow, volumes and turnaround times

* Lead, manage and develop the site team

* Ensure high standards of quality and service delivery

* Monitor and control operational costs (labour, utilities, materials)

* Maintain and optimise machinery, processes and efficiency

* Ensure compliance with health & safety standards

* Drive continuous improvement across the site

* Identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency and output

* Take full ownership of site performance and results

* Maintaining sustainability at every corner

* Data recording and analysis

REQUIREMENTS

* Strong experience in industrial laundry operations

* Proven ability to manage a production or factory environment

* Experience leading teams and driving performance

* Strong operational and organisational skills

* Commercial awareness and cost control experience

* Hands-on, proactive leadership style

* Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to business growth

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

* Experience managing high-volume laundry operations

* Knowledge of industrial laundry machinery and processes

* Track record of improving efficiency and throughput
