Build Recruitment provides specialist recruitment services, supplying quality candidates on a temporary and permanent basis to leading organisations across the built environment, from executive through to operative level.
With offices in London, Manchester and the South West, we specialise in Housing, Construction, Facilities Management, Property, Surveying, Health & Safety and Sales. We are currently working with a well-established Housing Association seeking an experienced Electrician to join their Planned Works team.
Day-to-Day DutiesResponsive Repairs
Attending electrical faults in occupied properties, including power failures, tripping circuits, faulty sockets, lighting issues, immersion heaters and extractor fans.Planned Electrical Works
Carrying out scheduled electrical maintenance including emergency lighting, smoke and heat detector testing, fixed-wire inspections and electrical upgrades.Minor Installation Works
Installing additional sockets, replacing lighting, upgrading extractor fans, installing new circuits and completing minor rewires where required.Heating & Controls
Working on electrical components of heating systems including programmers, thermostats, wiring centres, immersion elements and basic fault finding.Social Housing Compliance
Ensuring all work is completed to BS7671 standards while maintaining compliance with housing association and health & safety requirements.Working in Occupied Homes
Providing excellent customer service, respecting tenants' homes and completing work cleanly with minimal disruption.Team Working
Supporting other trades including plumbers, gas engineers and multi-trades on joint projects where electrical expertise is required.Emergency Call-Outs (where required)
Responding to urgent electrical issues including loss of power, alarm faults and potentially dangerous electrical defects.Benefits
