The school caters for primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Global Developmental Delay and associated communication and sensory needs. Staff work collaboratively to provide a nurturing, structured and engaging environment where every child can thrive.

The Role

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assist children with their academic, social and emotional development.
Deliver targeted interventions under the guidance of the class teacher and SEND team.
Support communication using visual aids and structured routines.
Engage pupils through child-led play, sensory activities and interactive learning experiences.
Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interactions.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families.
Assist with observations, progress monitoring and classroom preparation.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Support with personal care
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs.

The Ideal Candidate

A graduate with a genuine interest in education or SEND.
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
Patient, caring and resilient with a positive and proactive attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to build meaningful relationships with children who have additional needs.
Passionate about helping every child reach their full potential.
