Salary: Up to £90,000 + Performance Bonus (Paid Twice Yearly)

An established and growing Building Services consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Director to join its London office.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious senior engineer coming from a mechanical design background or existing Associate Director looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will have a clear pathway to becoming a Technical Director within the next couple of years, making this an ideal role for someone with strong technical ability, commercial awareness, and leadership aspirations.

The Role

As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in the technical and commercial success of the business. You will lead projects from concept through to completion, develop strong client relationships, mentor engineers, and contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy.

You will be a visible leader within the business, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver exceptional engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of complex MEP building services projects across the commercial sector.
Manage projects from inception through design and construction phases.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
Attend client meetings and represent the business professionally at all stages of project delivery.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and project teams.
Oversee project quality, programme, and resource allocation.
Ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining high technical standards.
Support business development activities and identify opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
Mentor and develop junior and senior engineers within the team.
Work collaboratively with the leadership team to support the strategic growth of the business.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Comes from a Mechanical Design background.
Significant Building Services (MEP) consultancy experience.
Proven experience delivering commercial sector projects.
Strong technical knowledge across building services engineering.
Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills.
Commercial awareness with a strong understanding of project profitability and business performance.
Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
The ambition to progress into a Technical Director position in the near future.
