Talentmark are recruiting for a Senior R&D Scientist to join a company in the medical devices industry on a contract basis for 12 months. This role is fully site-based in Motherwell.
Salary:
£24.52 - £26.56 per hour PAYE
Senior R&D Scientist Role:
Execute complex, high-quality experimental workstreams from concept through to final recommendation and design transfer.
Analyse and interpret complex data from multi-factorial experiments.
Present project updates and technical findings effectively to stakeholders
Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) philosophy to optimise product formulations and characterisation processes
Champion laboratory excellence by creating a working environment that proactively supports compliance, including GLP, GMP, and GDP standardsYour Background:
Hold a Master's degree in a life science subject. A BSc will be considered if coupled with industry experience.
Proven knowledge of diagnostic immunoassay technology and the ability to follow or improve complex experimental protocols.
Strong computer literacy and data analysis skills, with a track record of delivering accurate results on time.
Excellent communication skills, specifically in writing technical documentation and laboratory records.
Experience with particle-based immunoassays, fluorescent detection, whole-blood assays, and working within GMP/GLP/GDP or biohazard environments is preferred.Company:
