Classroom Support are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a specialism in Physical Education (PE) to join a welcoming primary school in Greenwich.

The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering high-quality PE lessons across the school, supporting pupils to develop their physical skills, confidence, teamwork and understanding of healthy lifestyles. You will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to ensure pupils receive engaging, inclusive and well-structured learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons and activities across the primary age range.

* Lead whole-class, small-group and individual physical education sessions.

* Support the development of pupils' physical skills, coordination, fitness and confidence.

* Adapt activities to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities and additional needs.

* Promote teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship and positive attitudes towards physical activity.

* Support teachers with the delivery of the wider PE curriculum.

* Organise and support extracurricular sports activities, clubs and school competitions where required.

* Supervise pupils during lessons, break times, sports activities and school events.

* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and relevant school staff.

* Contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

* Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and school leadership.

* Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school policies at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

* Have experience working with children in a primary school or educational setting.

* Have a strong interest, qualification or experience in PE, sport or physical activity.

* Have experience planning and delivering engaging activities or lessons.

* Be confident leading groups of children and managing behaviour effectively.

* Be enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about supporting children's development.

* Be able to adapt activities to meet the needs of all pupils.

* Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
