Site Engineer
Setting Out Engineer / Site Engineer required for a project in the Brighton area
This is a permanent position with follow on projects in London.
Looking for applicants who have over 3 years recent and relative experience and previous experience on new build hotels and large mixed use residential schemes with RC Frame.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring accurate setting out and levelling of the works in accordance with drawings / specifications
* Ensuring all drawings and information relating to your area of work are accurate and up to date.
* Reviewing Architect/Engineer/Services/Sub-Contractor drawings, ensuring coordination and integration.
* Ensuring quality control and testing of work and materials is carried out in accordance with the specification requirements.
* Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with the Construction Programme.
* Carrying out checks on works, prior to and following any concrete pours.
* Fulfilling the role of Temporary Works Coordinator as and when required.
* Acting as the main technical advisor, directing and supervising the day-to-day operations of sub-contractors when required and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
* Liaising with local authorities as appropriate, ensuring compliance with local construction regulations
* Delivering induction and toolbox talks on site
* Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
* Fulfilling the role of mentor as and when required.
* Supervising on site as required, where appropriate training in site supervision has been completed
