MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Developing next generation of electronic systems using the latest architectures, powered by advanced software and hardware technologies in an integrated way, to deliver exceptional features and experiences to customers. One of those experiences is to provide a range of capabilities and features which can take care and enhance customers’ health and wellbeing whilst riding in the vehicle.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain a high level of technical skill in automotive health and wellbeing features, inc. occupant state sensing technologies, algorithms, in-car measures and connected services. Blending of medical and holistic wellbeing knowhow with cutting edge hardware and software solutions in an automotive environment. Work alongside peers working in similar areas within the other brands of the Group.

Responsible for Implementation

Operate in a systems engineering environment, taking a function oriented approach to development, and where necessary able to be a “Function Owner”. Cooperate effectively with colleagues, both with similar roles and cross-functionally, as part of a team (or teams). Able to define requirements, esp for complex software based systems, analyze functionality, and engage with the downstream lower level development processes.

Responsible for Implementation

Deliver “end-to-end” according to specific project requirements, within the “Product Emergence Process” - timing, cost and quality. Support and lead design and development activities, end-to-end, i.e. from concept, requirements (incl. regulatory requirements), realization (with partners/suppliers), validation/testing, release for production, and ongoing support and change management, to end of production. Including appreciation of appropriate commercial factors and costs.

Responsible for Implementation

Able to prepare, and ideally deliver, presentations to provide regular status, as required on specific technical or project problems and solutions, or to answer specific questions in areas of knowledge.

Respect and comply at all times with company requirements covering personal integrity, correct ways of working and legal responsibilities, e.g. Health and Safety.

KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Ability to communicate at various levels across the company in different forums

• Design and development skills

• Ability to influence colleagues within your area of responsibility

• Understanding of financial limits within area of responsibility

• Skills required by local area

• German language preferable.

• Ability to solve problems

• Knowledge of Electrical vehicle functions including electronic hardware, software and systems

PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

Affinity for technology and innate curiosity about how things work.

Affinity for and interest in human health and medical topics.

Positive attitude and able to find creative solutions even in the face of apparently insurmountable challenges.

Practical and able to “do” and not just “study/read”.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum: 4 year Master’s degree (e.g. MEng) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar subject, including Biomedical Engineering.

Associate membership of a relevant professional intuition is desirable
