A welcoming primary school in Camden is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September. Staff work collaboratively to deliver an engaging curriculum, promote positive relationships and support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
Main Duties
Deliver high-quality learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes, including covering lessons in the teacher's absence.
Support teachers with lesson preparation, assessment and classroom organisation to ensure pupils make strong progress.
Deliver targeted interventions in English and mathematics to raise attainment and support pupils with additional learning needs.
Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel supported.
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND and EAL.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold high expectations for learning, behaviour and pupil wellbeing.About You
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or higher).
Has previous experience working within a UK primary school.
Has experience delivering interventions and supporting pupils across the primary age range.
Is confident leading small groups and whole-class learning when required.
Demonstrates excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.
Is proactive, adaptable and committed to helping every child succeedWhy Horizon Teachers?
