Job Title: Compliance Officer
Reporting to: Regional Compliance Manager
Location: Plymouth or Truro
Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 per annum

The Supply Register are recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join their team.
Under the leadership of the Regional Compliance Manager, you will be part of the wider compliance team and will support the region in guiding candidates through the full onboarding and compliance process, whilst maintaining the highest regulatory standards.
Role & Responsibilities:
Guide all candidates through all pre-employment checks, including DBS checks, referencing and right to work checks.
Work with the resourcing executive and wider partnership team to provide an excellent overall candidate journey
Effectively manage a high volume of candidate files, often with strict deadlines
Identify compliance gaps and support with corrective actions
Stay up to date with changes in legislation such as KCSiE and APSCo
Escalate compliance concerns and/or breaches to the Head of Quality & Compliance
Work collaboratively with the wider compliance team to prepare for external audits
Accurately update internal CRM system with compliance information
Consistently aim to refine and improve the candidate journey, making recommendations to management.
Collaborate with the wider regional team to ensure that candidate files are cleared efficiently
Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively contribute to the overall team’s success
Ensure all documentation is stored securely and in line with GDPR guidance
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 12 months experience working in a compliance role in education
The confidence and motivation to work independently
The ability to work to operate wite strict timeframes
Have excellent organisation skills to manage a high volume of candidate files
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Excellent attention to detail
