Nursery Room Manager – Cheam, Sutton

We are currently seeking an experienced Nursery Room Manager to join a fantastic nursery setting in Cheam, Sutton. Nursery Room Manager Duties:
Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the nursery room
Provide high-quality care and education for all children
Support and mentor a team of Nursery Practitioners to deliver outstanding childcare
Follow the EYFS framework and nursery curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s learning and development
Ensure a safe, caring, and stimulating environment is maintained at all times
Act as a key person and build strong relationships with children and their families
Monitor and assess children’s progress and development
Maintain accurate records, observations, and individual learning plans
Work closely with parents, colleagues, and external professionals
Support safeguarding procedures and ensure the welfare of all children
Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to maintain high standards
Nursery Room Manager Requirements:
Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (essential)
Previous experience working as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or Nursery Room Manager
Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
Experience leading and supporting a team within an Early Years setting
Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Passion for childcare and supporting children’s development
Ability to create a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
