OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Pipework Supervisor for our client located in Grimsby, this is a permanent opportunity working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus overtime as and when required. You will be required to work away on different sites as per client requirements.
As the Pipework Supervisor you will be required to supervise and lead teams of tradesman, semi-skilled workers, labourers, apprentices and sub-contractors to plan and organise equipment and materials required for project delivery in accordance with project data and company standards.
Responsibilities:
To drive an uncompromising Health & Safety Culture to the workforce
Promote the long-term success of the business through positive approach to finishing works to a high standard and in accordance with the specific project information
In conjunction with the Contracts Managers & Works Managers, assess the resource required for each job
Allocate the duties and tasks for each member of the team, providing first line management for performance and conduct covering time keeping, workmanship, personal appearance and attitude
Positively and proactively liaise with the customer's site representative to ensure their expectations are met and to bring to their attention any issues which may affect the plan
To appropriately manage any change or variation to the scope
Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders
Ensure that project administration is completed appropriately including ensuring delivery / acceptance notes are signed by the client prior to leaving site
Maintain frequent and effective communications with the management team
To utilise the company work procedures effectively ensuring all documentation, data and stakeholder needs are met.
To manage project resources effectively including hire equipment.
To ensure all tools, equipment and materials are stored securely.
Any other duties commensurate with the role
