Salary/Package - £25,000 - £26,000

Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join their finance team and support the day-to-day running of the finance function.

The Role

As Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for:

Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently

Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations and resolving invoice queries

Preparing payment runs and supporting the Accounts Payable function

Posting bank transactions and carrying out daily bank reconciliations

Assisting with credit control and maintaining accurate customer accounts

Supporting month-end processes, including journals and account reconciliations

Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity within the finance system

Assisting with VAT and CIS administration where required

Providing administrative support to the Finance Manager and wider finance team

Supporting continuous improvements across finance systems and processes

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, or Accounts Administrator role

Good understanding of basic accounting principles

Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Experience using accounting or ERP systems would be advantageous

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines

A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop

Experience within construction or a project-based environment would be beneficial but is not essential
