Recovery Worker - Peer Support Lead - HMP Wormwood Scrubs
Location: Shepherd's Bush
Salary: £27,000 per annum

About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and committed Recovery Worker – Peer Supporter Lead to join the Substance Misuse Service at HMP Wormwood Scrubs.
The service provides recovery-focused, trauma-informed psychosocial interventions within an integrated healthcare model, supporting men aged 18 and over with drug and/or alcohol-related needs. Working alongside healthcare and prison partners, the team delivers support across key areas including early days in custody, planned care, resettlement and release.
As the Recovery Worker -Peer Supporter Lead, you will play a key role in developing and embedding peer-led support within the prison. You will recruit, train and supervise service users as Peer Supporters and Mentors, enabling them to provide encouragement, guidance and recovery-focused support to others.
You will work collaboratively with prison teams, healthcare providers and service users to strengthen recovery pathways, promote engagement and support individuals to take greater responsibility for their health and wellbeing.
