We are seeking a SEN Teacher in Halifax who can create a positive and engaging learning environment that supports every child to achieve their full potential - both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher based in Halifax
Plan, deliver and adapt high-quality lessons tailored to individual EHCPs.
Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff.
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to promote progress and well-being.
Assess and monitor students' development, providing detailed feedback and reports.Requirements of an SEN Teacher
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) essential.
Experience working with pupils with SEN (in mainstream or specialist settings).
Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and behaviour management strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
