Job Title: Assistant Production Manager

Salary: £45,000
Shift: 6:00am – 6:00pm (42 hours per week)
Job Role of the Assistant Production Manager

As the Assistant Production Manager, you will play a key role in leading production operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved while driving continuous improvement across your shift.
Sector – Food Manufacturing
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Assistant Production Manager
Proven experience as a Production Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager within a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership experience managing production teams within manufacturing
Desirable Requirements for the Assistant Production Manager
Experience within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience (5S / CI).
Experience supporting internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the production team to achieve daily production targets.
Ensure accurate ERP reporting for production, materials, and finished goods.
Manage warehouse returns and material reconciliation.
Monitor production KPIs including OEE, waste, downtime, and output.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the shift.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance.
Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate production documentation.
Manage attendance, performance, discipline, and development of production staff.
Promote a positive, high-performance culture focused on teamwork and accountability.
The Assistant Production Manager will benefit from:
