Project Quantity Surveyor – Tier 1 Main Contractor (Major Commercial Project) – Westminster

O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team, delivering a major, landmark commercial development in Westminster.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's most respected contractors on a unique, large-scale project that will stand out on any CV. With a strong pipeline of secured work across London and a reputation for delivering some of the capital's most complex and prestigious schemes, this business offers excellent long-term career progression, stability and professional development.

Working as part of an experienced commercial team, you will take ownership of key subcontract packages from procurement through to final account, playing a vital role in the successful commercial delivery of this flagship project.

Role Overview

Title: Project Quantity Surveyor

Project: Major Commercial Development

Location: Westminster, London

Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + Comprehensive Package

Start: ASAP (notice periods accommodated)

Type: Permanent

Responsibilities

Procuring and commercially managing high-value subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
Preparing subcontract enquiries, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations for award
Managing subcontractor valuations, payments, variations and final accounts
Producing cost reports, CVRs, forecasts and monthly commercial reporting
Working closely with project, design and procurement teams to ensure successful project delivery
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities whilst maintaining effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain
Requirements

Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a well-established main contracting environment
Previous experience delivering commercial, mixed-use or other major building projects
Proven experience procuring and commercially managing high-value subcontract packages
Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and communication skills
Degree qualified or equivalent (preferred)
Able and willing to commute to Westminster
