The Environmental Advisor will be a member of our client’s Environmental and Sustainability team, reporting to the EH&S Manager – Regulatory.
Must have offshore ticket and experience.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
This role will be supporting 24/7 operations, and primarily responsible for the following:
• Prepare correspondence, documentation and regulatory requirements
• Interface with company personnel, contractors, and regulators to ensure timely processing of the required documentation so that company objectives and regulatory requirements are met
• Coordinate with company operations, well intervention and projects teams throughout the operational process of offshore assets
• Prepare, submit, and obtain relevant environmental permits and consents (MAT applications (e.g. DRA, PRA, PLA, WIA) and associated SAT applications, OPPC, GHG)
• Investigation of all PON1 or OCR non-compliances
• IRS submissions – manage the submission and ensure investigation is progressing to allow closure, be able to submit IRS non compliances if required – track all non-compliances to closure.
• Monthly Compliance meeting with offshore supervisors support delivering Permit, non-compliance / PON1 status and operational updates along with Regulator communications
• Management of F Gas reporting ensure all records are updated and chair monthly compliance meeting
• Management of Chemical permits and chair monthly compliance discussions with onshore production chemists
• Undertake audits (offshore and to third parties)
• Participate in emergency response
• Extensive interfacing with regulators to maintain regulatory compliance
• Assist in environmental related projects to aid in continuous improvement of the EH&S functions support to operations
• Undertake offshore visits to support regulatory inspections and audits
Qualifications & Experience
• Relevant degree or post graduate diploma in environmental discipline
• Previous experience as an Environmental Advisor for an offshore Operator
• Substantial experience working in UKCS permitting requirements, including experience preparing and making regulatory submittals
• Experience working directly with Regulators to answer questions and facilitate inspections
• Familiarisation with Environmental and Energy Management Systems (ISO(phone number removed) and ISO50001)

• Contribute to the prevention of Major Accidents by complying with commitments made in Clients Corporate Major Accident Prevention Policy.
• Visible commitment to management of Process Safety by delivering against PSM Framework expectations relevant to role.
• Comply with EH&S Standards, management system requirements and applicable regulations
Designated Emergency Response Role (s)
• To provide support to the Business Support Team, BST, in a role related to your current role. May fill other duties within the response structure as required
