Document Controller
Reports to Head of Preconstruction
- To manage site administration from start to finish of project(s).
- To support the delivery teams with all aspects of site administration.
- To ensure consistency across the business’ project(s) documentation.
1. Build and maintain strong relationships externally with clients, subcontractors and suppliers whilst also ensuring great relationships internally with all stakeholders.
2. Take an active role in recommending and developing improved systems and procedures for the business.
Tactical Work:
1. Be the face of the project(s) onsite for clients, consultants and subcontractors.
2. Manage all parts of site documentation ensuring it is always up to date, consistent across sites, in line with standards and filed in the right place.
3. To record and distribute all drawings, specifications, information required schedules, method statements, requests for information, technical submittals, samples, change requests, site instructions and the like associated with the successful delivery of a project(s).
4. Renew site licences as and when required (hoarding, parking, road closures etc).
5. Assist in collation of monthly project reports.
6. Manage site document control system.
7. Collate end of project O&Ms
STANDARDS:
1. Assist in achieving the Operational Standards.
2. Bring technical ability in all aspects of the role: document control, file administration and site organisation.
3. Personal skills: attention to detail, able to multi-task, self-starter, can-do attitude.
Company-wide:
1. All work will be performed to company policies and standards in the spirit of the company’s Vision and Values.
2. All work will be performed with a consistent honest approach and effective communication: sincere, with spark, and optimism.
3. All work will be carried out with the clients and consultants’ relationships and satisfaction in mind.
4. Support the business in necessary organisational change and sustainable business goals.
5. Participate and contribute to the company’s best practise initiatives.
6. Respond and act upon the need to continued Professional Development and training.
7. Personal skills: organisational, solution driven, openminded, negotiating skills, positive pragmatic approach, proactive, team player, quality focussed, innovative and enthusiastic.
8. Display IT and technical ability relating to the role.
