Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a secure, long-term role where your skills really make a difference?

C2 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering business delivering essential maintenance services across the c2c rail network. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of railway stations and infrastructure, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding and reactive repairs in a safety-critical environment.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining electrical systems across multiple railway stations, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and fully operational.

No two days are the same. You'll carry out planned maintenance, respond to faults, support refurbishment projects and help keep essential infrastructure running for thousands of passengers every day.

What You'll Be Doing

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Responding to reactive electrical faults and breakdowns
Testing, inspecting and fault finding on electrical installations
Maintaining lighting, power distribution and station electrical systems
Supporting station refurbishment and installation projects
Completing maintenance reports using electronic systems
Working safely in line with current electrical regulations and Health & Safety legislation
Working closely with engineering teams and station personnel

What We're Looking For

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
Experience within commercial, industrial, facilities management or rail maintenance
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Full UK Driving Licence (held for a minimum of two years)
Flexible approach to working shifts, including nights and weekends
Willingness to undergo Drugs & Alcohol screening in accordance with Network Rail requirements

Desirable Skills

Experience or qualifications in any of the following would be advantageous:

City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
Sentinel PTS
Rail industry experience
IPAF
PASMA
SSSTS
Knowledge of railway safety standards
