Research Scientist (Fish and aquatic ecology)
Leicestershire (commutable from Leicester, Nottingham and surrounding areas)
Hourly pay - £14.97 - £30.00 (depending on experience)
Temporary contract
SRG is working with a global manufacturer of petcare products, who research and develop new products for their global portfolio. Based in the Leicestershire area, they have recently started hiring for a new member of their lab team. This is a great opportunity for someone who to take their skills and apply them in a research role with world class facilities. Applications encouraged from with a PhD in ecology, aquatic husbandry or people with industrial experience in the field.
Role Description
Leading and delivering internal and external fish care research projects aligned with strategic business goals.
Designing studies, developing methodologies and building research capability across aquatic biology, ecology and fish health.
Managing project resources, timelines and outputs, including coordinating internal teams and external partners.
Analysing and interpreting research findings, translating results into clear business implications and recommendations.
Communicating scientific outputs through reports, presentations, publications and technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Recent experience of aquatic species husbandry and handling
Experience in designing and managing research projects
Knowledge of statistical analysis such as 'R'
A PhD in aquatic ecology or animal husbandry would be extremely beneficial
Full right to work in the UK.
