ADEY, the market leader in the provision of residential water treatment products for closed loop heating and cooling systems in the UK, is looking for a Production Line Lead to join the team.

Now part of the Genuit Groups’ Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, ADEY has ambitious growth plans.

Working Hours:

AM Shift: 5:30 - 13:45 Monday to Thursday

5:30 - 12:30 Friday

PM Shift: 14:00 - 23:00 Monday to Thursday

13:00 - 17:00 Friday

Location: On-site in Stonehouse, Gloucester GL10

The Role

As a Machine Technician, you will take ownership of the production line, leading a small team of Production Technicians while ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of mixing and bottling equipment.

The role is responsible for managing machinery, materials, and people to deliver production plans safely and on time. You will plan, coordinate, and control daily production activities, ensuring products are manufactured to the required quality standards while consistently achieving or exceeding hourly production targets.

Working closely with Shift Supervisors, Line Pickers, and Engineering teams, you will ensure the timely production of finished goods, effective line performance, and continuous operational improvement.

Responsibilities:

* Safely operate, monitor and optimise production machinery to maximise efficiency, output and reliability.

* Manage production activities against the production schedule, prioritising work to achieve targets and minimise downtime.

* Maintain knowledge of production equipment, reporting defects and carrying out routine machine care, fault-finding and basic maintenance.

* Coordinate material flow and direct Line Pickers to ensure timely supply of raw materials and packaging components.

* Record, monitor and report production performance and line efficiency data accurately.

* Ensure effective shift start-ups, handovers, break management and end-of-shift cleaning activities.

* Communicate effectively with Production, Engineering and Shift Supervisors to resolve issues and maximise throughput.

* Lead, motivate and supervise a team of Production Technicians, fostering engagement, accountability and performance.

* Provide coaching, feedback and support to aid employee development and achievement of objectives.

* Support performance management activities, including attendance, conduct, appraisals and employee development.

* Promote a strong quality culture, ensuring products meet specifications and quality standards.

* Conduct quality inspections and checks, escalating defects, non-conformances and quality concerns as required.

* Communicate quality alerts, concessions and corrective actions to ensure compliance across the team.

* Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and operational procedures.

* Investigate and report accidents, incidents and near misses, supporting preventative and corrective actions.

* Work collaboratively with site leadership and Health & Safety teams to maintain and continuously improve safety standards.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, efficiency and waste reduction.

The Person

* Experience operating production or manufacturing machinery within a fast-paced environment.

* NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent qualification).

* Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards and health & safety requirements.

* Competent IT skills, including production systems, data entry, reporting and record-keeping.

* Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.

* Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.

* Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

* Proactive, adaptable and results-focused, with a strong commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
