Teaching Assistant

Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants in primary schools needed across Birmingham.

Job Overview:

Role: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham areas including Handsworth, Smethwick, Hockley, Winson Green, and surrounding areas
Start Date: 7 September 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, term time only, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Contract: Long-term position with the possibility of becoming permanent

Responsibilities:

Support teachers in the classroom.
Provide general classroom assistance.
Work one-to-one with pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Carry out day-to-day teaching assistant duties.

Essential Requirements:

You must have:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
At least 6 months' experience working in schools.
GCSE English and Maths.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
The legal right to work in the UK.
Up-to-date employment references.
Availability to work Monday to Friday during term time.
