About the Role

We are seeking experienced Site Managers to join our growing team, delivering major residential refurbishment and retrofit projects across Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-profile schemes within occupied residential buildings, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Project 1 - £33m Residential Refurbishment & Retrofit

Two Site Managers are required, with each Site Manager responsible for managing three occupied six-storey residential blocks.

The scope of works includes:

Roof replacement with cut-to-fall insulation
Extensive scaffolding works
Window replacement
External Wall Insulation (EWI)
Render and brick-slip finishes
Balcony and walkway curtain walling
Fire stopping
Sprinkler adaptations
Lighting and extract system alterations
Landscaping
Internal refurbishment works

Project 2 - £6m Residential Refurbishment & Retrofit

A further refurbishment project involving three occupied residential blocks, delivering a similar scope of works including roofing, EWI, window replacement, fire safety upgrades and internal refurbishment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations from mobilisation through to project completion.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Maintain compliance with PAS 2030/2035 and all statutory regulations.
Lead all Health & Safety activities, including inductions, inspections and site records.
Organise site meetings and resource planning.
Build and maintain excellent relationships with residents while working within occupied properties.
Drive programme performance and resolve on-site challenges efficiently.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction, refurbishment or retrofit.
Experience delivering low-rise and/or high-rise residential projects.
Strong experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
NVQ Level 4, HNC or equivalent industry experience.
SMSTS qualification.
Valid CSCS Card.
Scaffold Inspection qualification.
Asbestos Awareness qualification (Duty to Manage desirable).
Full UK Driving Licence.
Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Desirable Experience

Social housing projects.
Residential retrofit and refurbishment.
External Wall Insulation (EWI).
Roofing, window replacement and fire stopping works.
