Senior Project Controls Professional
Location: UK
Type: Contract / Full-Time
We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Controls Professional to support the successful delivery of complex engineering and infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing project team, managing project controls activities across the full project lifecycle while ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project controls activities on smaller projects or manage a work package within a larger programme.
Develop and maintain project schedules, plans and reporting.
Monitor project performance, identifying risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.
Support the delivery of project controls across the full project lifecycle.
Produce accurate project reporting and provide insights to support decision-making.
Apply appropriate project management methodologies, including predictive and agile approaches where required.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to achieve project objectives.
Support the development and continuous improvement of project controls processes and best practice.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members where appropriate.
About You
Experience working in a Project Controls, Project Management or PMO environment.
Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, reporting, governance and risk management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong administrative skills.
Ability to analyse information, solve problems and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Experience working within structured project management frameworks and governance processes.
Confident managing multiple priorities and delivering work to deadlines.
Essential Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience supporting or leading project controls activities on engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of project controls tools, techniques and best practices.
Experience producing project reports and tracking project performance.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to wider project objectives.
Desirable Qualifications
Degree or equivalent practical experience in Project Management, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
A recognised Project Management qualification such as APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent
