An exciting Lifesciences manufacturer is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to provide immediate leadership at its regulated manufacturing site.
The EHS Manager will lead HSE: Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities activities, ensuring legislative compliance and maintaining a safe, efficient and audit-ready manufacturing environment.
This hands-on EHS Manager contract requires someone who can quickly integrate into the site, strengthen HSE systems and provide visible leadership across manufacturing operations.
The EHS Manager will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Facilities to manage compliance, contractors and continuous improvement.
Key Deliverables
The EHS Manager will take ownership of:
* Maintaining the site Health and Safety Management System.
* Ensuring compliance with UK HSE legislation.
* Updating HSE policies, procedures and emergency response plans.
* Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and safety training.
* Managing HSE KPIs, risk assessments and ergonomic reviews.
* Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
* Managing contractors, RAMS, insurance and Permit to Work controls.
* Ensuring PUWER, PAT and machinery safety compliance.
* Supporting manufacturing site audit readiness.
* Reviewing energy use, waste management and facilities compliance.
The successful EHS Manager will be pragmatic, visible and comfortable operating within a fast-paced manufacturing site.
