Contract Personnel are seeking an experienced Quality Control & Compliance Manager to join a renowed manufacturing business, and take lead of Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure the manufacture of safe, legal and high-quality products that consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for Quality Control, Food Safety, Product Compliance and Continuous Improvement across the business. Working closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse and Sales, you will drive quality standards, support operational excellence and promote a strong culture of compliance.
We are ideally looking for someone with strong experience in the food, food supplement, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing sector who is commercially aware, passionate about quality, and confident leading both people and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
Maintain compliance with BRCGS Food Safety, HACCP, GMP and relevant food legislation.
Manage all quality control activities from raw material receipt through to finished product release.
Lead internal and external audits, including BRCGS certification and customer audits.
Investigate quality issues and customer complaints, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Manage supplier approval and quality assurance processes.
Monitor quality performance, analyse trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead the Environmental Monitoring Programme and oversee product testing activities.
Manage, coach and develop the Quality Control Technician.
Provide technical guidance and support across the business.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in a Quality or Technical Management role within food manufacturing.
Strong working knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety, HACCP, GMP and food legislation.
Experience managing audits and Quality Management Systems.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement and maintaining the highest quality standards.
