Example Recruitment Group Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing facilities management business for a Commercial Gas Engineer to cover Essex, ideally based around the Chelmsford or Southend-on-Sea areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a family-run business that has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality maintenance services across London and the South East. You'll be joining an expanding team that takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.
The Role
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will predominantly carry out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing and repairs across a range of commercial sites including schools, care homes and government buildings. Whilst the role is primarily maintenance focused, there will be occasional installation work.
Salary & Benefits
* £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
* Company van provided
* Fuel card provided
* Full-time permanent position
* Monday to Friday working pattern
* No on-call rota or out-of-hours working
* Working hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
* Servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial gas systems.
* Carrying out gas safety inspections and fault finding.
* Diagnosing and repairing heating and hot water systems.
* Maintaining LPG systems where required.
* Completing planned preventative maintenance across commercial properties.
* Undertaking occasional installation works.
* Delivering excellent customer service whilst working independently on site.
Requirements
* Commercial Gas qualifications (essential).
* Experience carrying out service, maintenance and repair works.
* LPG experience would be advantageous.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Willingness to travel
