Job Title: Night Shift Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and driven Night Shift Manager to oversee the efficient running of manufacturing operations during night shifts. This role is critical to ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead and support your team while driving continuous improvement across health & safety, quality, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and promote a strong health & safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and completion of pre-shift checks
Drive production performance by delivering against plans, monitoring KPIs, and addressing risks to output
Ensure consistent product quality through effective checks and prompt resolution of defects
Coordinate with maintenance teams to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime
Maintain a clean, organised, and audit-ready working environment
Oversee stock control, inventory checks, and accurate documentation
Manage team performance including attendance, holidays, return-to-work processes, and payroll-related administration
Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members
Provide coaching, training, and competency assessments to build team capability
Encourage continuous improvement by identifying issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure smooth operational flow

Strong understanding of KPIs and operational performance metrics
Commitment to health & safety and maintaining high-quality standards
