Streamline Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations & Sales Coordinator to join our client's well-established business based in East London.
Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of wood veneer, veneer edging and veneered boards. For over 60 years, they have built an outstanding reputation across the industry.
Due to continued success, they are looking for an Operations & Sales Coordinator to join their close-knit team. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to work closely with customers, suppliers and logistics partners while playing an important role in ensuring orders are managed smoothly from enquiry through to delivery.
The Role
As the first point of contact for many customers, you will be responsible for managing customer orders, coordinating deliveries and supporting the wider sales and operations function. You will ensure all enquiries, quotations and orders are handled accurately, efficiently and with a strong focus on customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing customer orders and managing them through to successful completion.
* Checking stock availability and liaising with internal teams.
* Reviewing customer enquiries and quotations, following up where appropriate.
* Coordinating deliveries with third-party logistics providers.
* Monitoring customer deliveries and resolving any issues quickly and professionally.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
* Identifying opportunities to upsell products and support additional sales.
* Providing excellent customer service via telephone and email.
* Supporting the wider sales and operations team with day-to-day administration.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* A confident communicator with strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
* Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Experienced in customer service, sales support, order processing or a similar office-based role.
* Comfortable liaising with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems.
* Reliable, positive and willing to be part of a friendly, supportive team.
What's on Offer?
* Monday to Friday working hours – 7:30am to 4:30pm
* £32-40k DOE
* 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays (5 days reserved for the Christmas shutdown)
